ClockSpark

Coming soon · Telling time · Ages 5–9

Telling time, taught the way teachers teach it.

In class, children learn the hour hand on its own before the minute hand is added. ClockSpark follows the same path: a ten-step ladder from meeting the clock, to the hour, half past and quarters, all the way up to working out how long something took.

  • Just the hour hand first

The minute hand waits until your child is ready, so they are never asked to juggle both at once.

  • A clock that moves like a real one

At half past three the hour hand sits halfway between 3 and 4, which is exactly what children need to learn to read.

  • How long did it take?

Children go beyond reading the clock to working out elapsed time, step by step on a number line.
